The ACCUPRO B4903500R is a corner radius boring bar engineered for precision internal turning and boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. Machined from submicron-grade solid carbide, this right-hand cutting tool delivers consistent dimensional accuracy in tight-tolerance bores starting at 0.49 inches in diameter. The bright finish coating reduces built-up edge and supports smooth chip evacuation. With a 0.005 to 0.008 inch corner radius range and a maximum bore depth of 3.5 inches, it handles a range of fine-finish internal profiling and radius blending tasks that standard boring bars cannot reach cleanly.
This boring bar is suited for production and job-shop environments where submicron carbide grade is specified for hard materials, interrupted cuts, or applications requiring extended tool life without regrinding. The 0.5 inch shank diameter fits standard boring bar holders and quick-change tooling systems commonly found on CNC turning centers and manual engine lathes. It is a right-hand cut configuration, meaning it advances toward the chuck in conventional orientation. Machinists and tooling setters working in precision component manufacturing, mold and die, and aerospace turning will find this a direct fit for close-tolerance bore finishing work.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation boring bar for 0.5 inch shank boring bar holders and quick-change toolpost systems on CNC turning centers and manual lathes requiring a right-hand corner radius bar.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine in a full stop, lockout-tagout state before any tool change. Ensure the 0.5 inch shank is fully seated and clamped in the boring bar holder with sufficient overhang minimized to reduce chatter. Verify corner radius selection matches the print callout before running the first pass. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer-specified depth of cut or feed rate for the material being bored.
