The ACCUPRO B3203000R is a corner radius boring bar engineered for precision internal turning and boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Constructed from submicron solid carbide, this bar delivers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to standard carbide grades. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 3 inches, making it suitable for a range of small-diameter, deep-bore applications. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. Machinists and toolroom operators use this bar when tight corner radii and accurate bore geometry are required.
The B3203000R is intended for right-hand cutting operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its 3/8-inch shank diameter and 4-inch overall length (OAL) make it compatible with standard boring bar holders and quick-change tooling systems used in production and job-shop environments. The corner radius range of 0.005 to 0.008 inches suits finish boring passes where minimal corner breakout and controlled surface finish are priorities. This bar is typically selected for tight-tolerance bores in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling selection for standard boring bar holders accepting a 3/8-inch round shank in CNC and manual turning applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. The boring bar should be clamped securely in a matched-diameter boring bar holder with the cutting edge set on centerline of the workpiece spindle axis. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the lathe or machining center is locked out before mounting or adjusting the bar. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated bore depth-to-diameter ratio, as excessive overhang increases vibration and can compromise bore accuracy.
