Built from submicron solid carbide, this right-hand-cut bar delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for precision work in small-diameter bores. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.8 inches. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. With a 3/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 3 inches, this tool fits a range of standard boring bar holders used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This boring bar is suited for precision internal boring in CNC and manual lathe applications where a controlled corner radius is required. The corner radius range of 0.005 to 0.008 inches makes it appropriate for finishing passes and applications demanding tight dimensional tolerances. It is commonly used in job shops, production machining environments, and tool rooms handling close-tolerance components in steel, cast iron, and similar materials.
