The ACCUPRO B2901000R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal machining operations. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish, it delivers tight tolerances and consistent surface finishes in small-bore applications. The bar has a minimum bore diameter of 0.29 inches, a maximum bore depth of 1 inch, and a corner radius range of 0.005 to 0.008 inches. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it well suited for use in CNC lathes and boring mills where compact tooling is required. Machinists and CNC operators working in precision shops are the primary users of this tooling.
This boring bar is used for right-hand internal turning and boring operations where a controlled corner radius is required at the base of a bore or shoulder. It is appropriate for both production and job-shop environments machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its submicron carbide substrate performs well in applications demanding fine finishes and dimensional accuracy in tight bore diameters starting at 0.29 inches.
Designed as a standard right-hand corner radius boring bar for use in CNC lathes, boring mills, and machining centers with toolholders accepting a 5/16-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and the spindle is locked before mounting or removing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the minimum recommended engagement depth to prevent deflection and chatter. Verify runout after mounting before beginning a cutting operation.
