The ACCUPRO B230900R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. Machined from submicron-grade solid carbide, this right-hand cut tool delivers consistent performance in small-bore applications requiring tight tolerances and controlled corner geometry. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.23 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 0.9 inches. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it well suited for compact toolholding setups. A bright finish coating is applied to the cutting surfaces. Corner radius range runs from 0.005 to 0.008 inches, allowing for a fine, controlled edge break at the bottom of bored features.
This boring bar is used in precision machining environments where small-diameter internal bores require a defined corner radius rather than a sharp corner. Typical applications include finishing passes on bored holes in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces on CNC turning centers, manual engine lathes, and mill-turn machines. It is appropriate for both production runs and toolroom work where bore geometry and surface finish are critical. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit boring bar for standard 5/16-inch shank boring bar toolholders used in CNC turning centers and manual lathes requiring right-hand internal corner radius tooling.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in an off or e-stop state before changing or indexing any cutting tool. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure before taking any cut. Verify bore diameter and depth clearances before engaging the cutting edge to avoid tool or workpiece damage.
