The ACCUPRO B200800R is a corner radius boring bar engineered for precision internal machining operations. Built from submicron solid carbide, it delivers exceptional hardness and wear resistance in tight-bore applications. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard CNC and manual lathe setups. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.2 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.8 inches, this bar handles small-diameter finish boring where rigidity and edge retention are critical. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. Machinists and toolroom operators use this bar where close-tolerance internal profiles and controlled corner radii are required.
The B200800R is suited for precision boring on small-diameter features in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The 1/4-inch shank diameter fits standard boring bar holders and quick-change tooling systems on CNC lathes, turning centers, and manual engine lathes. The 2.5-inch overall length keeps the bar compact and stiff, minimizing deflection at depth. The corner radius range of 0.005 to 0.008 inches allows the operator to generate a controlled radius at the base of the bore rather than a sharp corner, which is a common callout on precision machined parts requiring stress-relief geometry.
Designed for use in standard 1/4-inch boring bar holders and quick-change tooling blocks on CNC lathes and manual turning centers requiring right-hand internal corner radius boring capability.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank firmly in a matched boring bar holder, ensuring correct projection length to reach bore depth without excessive overhang. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or adjusting tooling. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and shop safety procedures for tool clamping torque and runout verification before cutting.
