The ACCUPRO B180900R is a corner radius boring bar machined from submicron solid carbide for precision internal turning and bore finishing operations. It features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.18 inches, and a maximum bore depth of 0.9 inches. The 1/4-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length suit compact setups on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. A bright finish coating reduces friction and aids chip flow. Corner radius range runs from 0.005 to 0.008 inches, supporting fine-edge blending and contour work in tight bores.
This boring bar is intended for machinists performing small-diameter internal profiling, finish boring, and corner break operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and edge retention needed for interrupted cuts and hard materials. Typical applications include production turning shops, tool and die work, and precision component manufacturing where bore finish and dimensional accuracy are critical. Sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style boring bar for CNC and manual lathes accepting a 1/4-inch round shank toolholder with standard boring bar retention.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible toolholder and verify centerline height before cutting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or adjusting the bar. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and can fail if mishandled during setup.
