The ACCUPRO B180600R is a corner radius boring bar machined from submicron-grade solid carbide for precision internal boring operations. It handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.18 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.6 inches, making it well suited for tight, small-diameter bores where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical. The right-hand cutting direction and bright finish coating support clean chip evacuation and consistent performance across a range of workpiece materials. With a 0.25-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.5 inches, this bar fits standard boring head setups on CNC lathes and machining centers. Machinists and tooling specialists install and operate this bar in precision turning or milling environments.
This boring bar is intended for small-bore internal turning applications where a corner radius profile is required to blend a floor radius into the bore wall. The corner radius range of 0.005 to 0.008 inches allows controlled fillet generation at the base of blind or through bores. Typical applications include aerospace, medical, and precision mechanical components requiring tight tolerances and smooth bore finishes. It is suited for production and job-shop environments running CNC lathes or live-tool machining centers.
Designed as a direct-fit tooling component for standard 0.25-inch boring head and tool-block setups on CNC lathes and machining centers requiring right-hand, small-diameter internal corner radius boring capability.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the boring head or tool block to the manufacturer-specified clamping depth before engaging the spindle. Confirm spindle direction and feed parameters match the right-hand cutting specification before initiating a cut. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping or wear before each use, as submicron carbide can be sensitive to interrupted cuts or improper workholding.
