The ACCUPRO B1801500R is a right-hand solid carbide boring bar engineered for precision internal turning and bore enlargement operations. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter bores. The tool accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.1800 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.5 inches, making it well suited for shallow to mid-depth internal features. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.25 inch shank diameter, it fits standard toolholding setups on CNC lathes and manual turning machines. Machinists working on precision components in ferrous and non-ferrous materials will find this bar a reliable choice for consistent, repeatable results.
This boring bar is intended for use on CNC turning centers, manual engine lathes, and live-tooling setups where small internal diameters require precise stock removal. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard spindle rotation on the majority of turning applications. Its compact shank and short overall length make it particularly effective for components requiring close-tolerance bores in the 0.1800 inch range, common in instrument, medical, and aerospace component work as well as general machining.
Designed as a direct-fit boring bar for standard 0.25 inch boring bar toolholders used on CNC turning centers and manual lathes requiring a right-hand, small-diameter internal turning tool.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before loading or adjusting tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the minimum recommended engagement depth to reduce overhang and chatter. Verify bore diameter clearance before engaging the cut to avoid tool contact with the workpiece sidewall.
