Installation Notes

This boring bar is installed and set by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before changing or setting tools, ensure the machine spindle is at a full stop and all motion is locked out per your facility lockout/tagout procedure. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder with appropriate clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edge under magnification before use; carbide is brittle and edge chips not visible to the naked eye will affect bore quality.
