The ACCUPRO B160500R is a corner radius boring bar machined from submicron-grade solid carbide for precision internal boring operations. It features a right-hand cutting direction and is designed to produce accurate corner radii in bored holes. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.16 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.5 inches, this bar suits tight, shallow-bore applications where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. The 3/16-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length make it compatible with standard small-bore toolholding setups. A bright finish coating is applied to the flute geometry. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in production or maintenance environments rely on this type of bar for detail-critical internal profiles.
This boring bar is suited for use on CNC machining centers, manual lathes, and boring mills where controlled corner radius generation is required in small-diameter bores. Typical applications include precision component machining in aerospace, medical device, hydraulic component, and general metalworking shops. The submicron carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cut orientation is standard for conventional spindle rotation setups.
Designed for use in standard toolholding systems that accept a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Verify bore entry clearance and maximum bore depth requirements before use.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is at a complete stop and all motion is locked out before changing or adjusting the boring bar. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth rating of 0.5 inches, as overhang beyond this range can induce vibration and affect surface finish.
