The ACCUPRO B110700A is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and small-bore turning applications. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), this bar delivers excellent heat resistance and edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. The right-hand cut configuration suits standard spindle-direction setups, and the 1/8-inch shank diameter keeps the tool compact for tight-bore work. With a 0.11-inch minimum bore diameter and a maximum bore depth of 0.7 inches, this bar is suited for fine, small-diameter finishing and semi-finishing passes where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical.
This boring bar is used in production machining, tool-and-die, and maintenance-and-repair environments where small-bore internal diameters require tight tolerances. The compact 1-1/2-inch overall length makes it a practical choice for Swiss-type lathes, micro-turning centers, and small CNC turning centers handling close-tolerance bores in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users in both job-shop and high-volume production settings.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 1/8-inch shank boring bar positions on CNC lathes, Swiss-type turning centers, and small-bore toolholding systems accepting right-hand solid carbide boring bars.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine in a locked-out, zero-energy state before any tooling change. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the specified torque range for the toolholder manufacturer before running. Inspect the bore of the toolholder for chips or debris that could affect concentricity. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 0.7 inches, as overhang beyond the rated depth reduces rigidity and can cause chatter or tool deflection.
