The ACCUPRO B100400R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal machining operations requiring a controlled radius at the base of bored features. Machined from submicron solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work in hardened and abrasive materials. The right-hand cutting direction and bright uncoated finish make it suitable for applications where chip visibility and dimensional accuracy matter. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.1 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.4 inches, this bar fits small-bore work where standard tooling cannot reach cleanly. Machinists and toolroom operators use it in CNC lathes and boring mills.
This boring bar is intended for small-diameter internal turning and boring operations on CNC lathes, manual lathes, and turning centers. Its 1/8-inch shank diameter fits compact toolholders and turret-style tool posts common in Swiss-style and small-part machining environments. The corner radius range of 0.003 to 0.005 inches allows for fine control over the transition at the bore floor, reducing stress concentrations in finished parts. Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide boring bar for use in CNC lathes, manual lathes, and turning centers equipped with toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with lathe tooling setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly de-energized before seating or removing the bar. Secure the shank in the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified clamping method for 1/8-inch boring bars, and verify tool overhang is minimized to reduce chatter. Confirm bore diameter and depth clearances against the workpiece drawing before initiating a cut.
