The ACCUPRO B100150R is a corner radius boring bar machined from submicron solid carbide for precision internal turning operations. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.1 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.15 inches, this bar handles tight-clearance bores where standard tooling cannot reach. The bright finish coat reduces friction at the cutting edge. Right-hand cutting geometry suits standard spindle rotation on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. The 1/8-inch shank diameter keeps the tool compact for small-diameter work, and the 1.5-inch overall length fits most compact toolholders used in Swiss-type and sub-spindle setups.
This boring bar is suited for small-diameter internal finishing work in precision machining environments. Typical applications include bore finishing on hydraulic valve bodies, medical components, instrument housings, and other tight-tolerance parts where controlled corner radii are required on the bore floor or entry chamfer. The submicron carbide grade holds up under interrupted cuts and maintains edge integrity during high-speed passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the boring bar from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the set screw or collet is torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edge under magnification before use; solid carbide tooling is brittle and should not be dropped or used if the edge shows chipping.
