The ACCUPRO B060300R is a corner radius boring bar machined from submicron-grade solid carbide and designed for right-hand cutting operations in small-bore applications. It handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.06 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.3 inches, making it well suited for precision internal finishing work where tight tolerances and fine surface finish matter. The 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1.5-inch overall length (OAL) allow it to fit compact tool holders and reach confined bore geometries. A bright finish coating is applied at the factory. The corner radius range of 0.003 to 0.005 inches provides controlled edge geometry for consistent chip formation on each pass.
This boring bar is used in precision machining environments including CNC turning centers and manual lathes where small internal diameters require a rigid, accurate cutting tool. It is appropriate for machinists working in aerospace, medical device, hydraulic component, and general precision parts production. The submicron carbide grade offers good wear resistance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials, particularly in fine finishing cuts at higher surface speeds where tool rigidity and edge integrity are critical.
Designed for use in tool holders and boring systems accepting a 1/8-inch round shank. Suitable for CNC turning centers and manual lathes configured for right-hand internal boring operations.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the shank fully within the tool holder to the manufacturer-specified clamping depth before operation. Inspect the cutting edge for chips or wear before each use, as solid carbide tools are brittle and may fail if used with visible edge damage. Refer to the machine tool manufacturer and carbide grade data for appropriate cutting parameters.
