The ACCUPRO B050400R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on small-diameter features. Manufactured from submicron solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance bores in hardened materials and difficult-to-machine alloys. The bar has a minimum bore diameter of 0.05 inches, a maximum bore depth of 0.4 inches, and a corner radius range of 0.0030 to 0.005 inches. A bright finish coating is applied at the cutting end. With a 1/8 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 1.5 inches, this bar is sized for micro-boring work on CNC lathes, boring mills, and manual turning centers.
This boring bar suits precision machining environments where small internal diameters and controlled corner radii are critical. Typical applications include bearing pocket finishing, hydraulic valve body bores, medical component machining, and aerospace part production. The right-hand cut orientation is compatible with standard lathe spindle rotation. Machinists and CNC operators working with tight print tolerances on bore geometry and surface finish will find this bar appropriate for finish passes and semi-finish passes in production and job shop environments alike.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production tooling option for 1/8 inch bore bar toolholders used in CNC and manual turning applications requiring right-hand cut, small-diameter internal boring capability.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the shank fully in the toolholder to the recommended overhang length per the machine manufacturer guidelines, as excessive overhang increases vibration risk on small-diameter carbide bars. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing the boring bar. Avoid side loading or interrupted cuts beyond the design depth of 0.4 inches to prevent bar deflection or fracture.
