The ACCUPRO B050200R is a corner radius boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on small-diameter features. Machined from submicron solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for tight-tolerance work in hardened or abrasive materials. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.05 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 13/64 inches (0.2000 inches). A bright finish coating reduces built-up edge and aids chip flow. With a 1/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 1.5 inches, this bar fits compact boring heads and small CNC turning centers. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use it where precise corner radii and clean bore finishes are required.
This boring bar suits precision machining applications in both production and job-shop environments. It is sized for small-bore work on CNC lathes, machining centers, and manual mills equipped with appropriate boring head tooling. The right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional setups. The corner radius range of 0.0030 to 0.0050 inches produces controlled blends between bore walls and faces, which is critical in mold work, fixture bores, and precision component machining where sharp internal corners are not permitted.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for small-bore boring applications requiring a 1/8-inch shank diameter boring bar with right-hand cut geometry.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the bar. Confirm shank clamping torque meets the boring head manufacturer's recommendations and verify runout with a dial indicator before taking a finish cut. Solid carbide bars are brittle — avoid interrupted cuts or excessive overhang beyond the toolholder face without consulting the manufacturer's guidelines.
