The ACCUPRO ACC-RXD14 is a right-hand, convex radius cutting tool bit in the RXD style, designed for precision radius turning and forming operations on a lathe. The bit measures 4.5 inches in overall length with a 7/16 inch convex radius ground into a carbide tip that is 3/4 inch long and 3/16 inch thick. The shank is 3/4 inch square, giving it a stable, rigid mount in a standard tool post. Machinists and toolroom operators use this style of bit when they need a consistent, repeatable convex contour in a workpiece.
This tool bit is suited for manual and CNC lathe work where a convex radius profile is required on the finished part. The RXD-style geometry and right-hand orientation mean the cut is taken with the tool moving from right to left across the work. The carbide tip handles harder materials and provides longer edge life compared to high-speed steel alternatives, making it a practical choice for production turning, tool and die work, and general machining.
Designed for use in standard lathe tool posts and holders accepting a 3/4 inch square shank, including common single-post and quick-change tooling setups used in manual and CNC turning applications.
This tool bit is installed by qualified machinists. Secure the shank firmly in the tool post, ensuring the tip is set at the correct center height before making a cut. Power down and lock out the lathe before seating or removing the bit. Inspect the carbide tip for chips or cracks before each use and do not use a damaged insert.
