The left-hand cutting direction suits applications where the tool feeds from left to right relative to the workpiece. With a 5/8 inch square shank profile and a 4 inch overall length, this bit fits standard boring bar and tool post holders sized for 5/8 inch tooling. This tool bit is suited for production and job-shop turning environments where parting and narrow grooving operations are routine. The LC style designation follows industry standard numbering, making direct substitution straightforward on setups already tooled with LC-series holders. It handles ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a solid carbide tip provides sufficient rigidity and heat resistance.
