The ACCUPRO ACC-HB2401000 is a helical boring bar machined from submicron-grade solid carbide, designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.24 inches and handles a maximum bore depth of 1 inch. The shank diameter measures 0.25 inches and the overall length is 2.5 inches. A bright finish coating is applied to the carbide body. Right-hand cutting geometry makes this bar compatible with standard spindle rotation on the majority of turning setups. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this bar when tight bore tolerances and smooth surface finishes are required in small-diameter bores.
This helical boring bar is suited for small-bore turning applications in job shops, production machining cells, and toolroom environments. Typical use cases include finish boring of holes in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials where a solid carbide tool provides the rigidity and edge retention needed to hold close tolerances. The compact 0.25-inch shank fits standard boring bar holders and quick-change tool systems commonly found on CNC turning centers and manual lathes used in both prototype and production work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 0.25-inch boring bar holder systems used on CNC turning centers and manual lathes requiring small-diameter internal boring capability.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down the machine and confirm the spindle is fully stopped before installing or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the boring bar holder per the machine tool manufacturer torque guidelines, and verify tool runout with a dial indicator before taking a cut. Follow your facility safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines when setting tool offsets and depths of cut.
