The ACCUPRO ACC-HB1501250 is a helical boring bar machined from submicron solid carbide for internal bore finishing and sizing operations. It features a right-hand cutting direction and accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.15 inches, making it suitable for tight, small-diameter bore work. The shank diameter is 3/16 inches with an overall length of 2 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.25 inches. The bright uncoated finish maintains dimensional accuracy without added coating thickness. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom technicians working on CNC or manual lathes and boring mills.
This boring bar is designed for small-bore internal turning applications in production and toolroom environments. Its helical geometry helps with chip evacuation in shallow to moderate bore depths. Typical applications include finish boring of precision holes in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces where close tolerances and smooth surface finishes are required. The submicron carbide grade provides improved edge strength and wear resistance compared to standard micrograin carbide, making it well suited for interrupted cuts and hard materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC lathes, manual lathes, and boring mills that accept 3/16-inch shank boring bars in right-hand internal turning applications.
This boring bar is installed and adjusted by qualified machinists. Before mounting, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the minimum overhang required to reach bore depth, reducing deflection and chatter. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 1.25 inches, and verify workpiece clamping rigidity before taking cutting passes.
