The ACCUPRO ACC-GR174-12 is a solid carbide O-ring grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations that produce precision O-ring grooves in bored or drilled holes. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers the wear resistance and edge stability needed for consistent groove geometry in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3/8-inch shank diameter provides rigid tool holding in standard collet or end mill holders. With a groove width of 0.1750 inches and a 2.5-inch overall length, this tool is sized for typical O-ring groove applications in machined components. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool on CNC lathes or machining centers where internal groove accuracy is critical.
This tool is intended for use in machining environments where O-ring seal grooves must meet tight dimensional tolerances. It enters holes with a minimum diameter of 0.3750 inches and reaches a maximum hole depth of 0.7500 inches, making it suitable for shallow-to-mid-depth internal grooving on hydraulic fittings, pneumatic manifolds, valve bodies, and similar components. The 0.1250-inch projection keeps cutting forces manageable in small-bore applications. A single tool per package is standard.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct selection for internal O-ring grooving operations requiring a 3/8-inch shank solid carbide tool with 0.1750-inch groove width.
This tool is installed and operated by qualified machinists on CNC or manual turning and machining equipment. Secure the shank firmly in a collet or end mill holder rated for the shank diameter before beginning any operation. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and coolant flow against the workpiece material requirements before cutting. Inspect the cutting edge for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fail without visible warning if damaged.
