The ACCUPRO ACC-GF055-20 is a full radius grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations on lathes and turning centers. Constructed from submicron solid carbide, this tool delivers consistent performance in tight-tolerance groove cutting applications. It features a 3/8-inch shank diameter, a 0.056-inch groove width, and a 0.110-inch projection. The overall length is 2.5 inches. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this style of grooving tool when producing O-ring grooves, snap ring grooves, and other full radius internal profiles in precision components.
The ACC-GF055-20 is suited for internal grooving in bores with a minimum hole diameter of 0.375 inches and a maximum hole depth of 1.25 inches. It is appropriate for use in CNC turning operations and manual lathe work where a clean, consistent full radius groove profile is required. The submicron carbide grade provides added wear resistance, making it a practical choice for production runs in steel, aluminum, and similar machinable materials.

This tool is installed and serviced by qualified machinists and tool-and-die technicians. Before mounting, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety procedures. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the full recommended engagement depth to minimize deflection during cutting. Do not exceed the rated maximum hole depth of 1.25 inches, as overextension can cause tool breakage.
