The ACCUPRO ACC-GF038-6 is a full radius grooving tool designed for precision internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and boring applications. Constructed from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers consistent performance in tight-tolerance grooves. The tool features a 5/16 inch shank diameter and cuts a groove width of 0.0385 inches with a full radius profile. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a projection of 0.110 inches, it is suited for controlled-depth grooving in small-bore work. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this tool when clean, repeatable groove geometry is required in hard or abrasive materials.
This grooving tool is intended for use in precision machining environments where small-diameter internal grooves are required. It is well suited for retaining ring grooves, O-ring grooves, and undercut profiles in bores with a minimum hole diameter of 0.3120 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.375 inches. Typical applications include production turning centers, manual lathes, and CNC machining cells handling small components in steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials.
Designed for use in standard 5/16 inch shank boring bar holders and grooving tool blocks on CNC lathes and turning centers capable of accommodating small-bore internal grooving tooling.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or adjusting tooling. Verify bore diameter and depth clearances against the minimum hole diameter and maximum hole depth specifications before use to avoid tool or workpiece damage.
