It features a 1/4-inch shank diameter and cuts a groove width of 0.0305 inches with a projection of 0.060 inches. The tool is 2.5 inches in overall length and weighs 0.0625 pounds. It is designed for internal grooving operations in small-diameter bores, producing a full radius groove profile in a single pass. This grooving tool is suited for precision internal grooving applications where a minimum hole diameter of 0.250 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.250 inches apply. Confirm shank runout is within machine tolerance before beginning a cut. Follow the toolholder manufacturer guidelines for clamping torque and stick-out length to avoid deflection at small groove widths.
