The ACCUPRO ACC-GF025Q-8 is a full radius grooving tool designed for precision internal grooving operations on CNC lathes and boring machines. Constructed from submicron-grade solid carbide, this tool delivers consistent performance in tight-tolerance applications where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical. The 1/4 inch shank diameter and 2.5 inch overall length make it suitable for small-bore grooving work. A 0.0255 inch groove width and 0.06 inch projection are suited for fine internal groove profiles. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in standard collet or toolholder setups.
This grooving tool is used in precision machining environments including job shops, production floors, and maintenance machining departments. It is rated for a minimum hole diameter of 0.25 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.5 inches, making it appropriate for shallow internal grooves in small bores. It is well suited for grooving operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where carbide tooling is specified. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's setup procedures. Secure the shank firmly in a clean, burr-free collet or toolholder to the specified clamping torque for the holder in use. Verify tool projection and runout before beginning a cut.
