The tool features a 0.5 inch shank diameter, a 0.094 inch groove width, and a 0.16 inch projection. At 3.0 inches overall length, it fits standard toolholders used on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. This tool is installed by qualified machinists in a lathe or turning center toolholder. Secure the 0.5 inch shank firmly in a collet or boring bar holder before beginning any cut, and verify that the machine is fully stopped and locked out before making any tool changes. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain groove geometry. Do not exceed the rated maximum hole depth of 1.5 inches, as overextension can cause tool deflection or breakage.
