The ACCUPRO ACC-G025K-4 is a solid carbide retaining ring grooving tool designed for cutting internal grooves in bored holes. Built from submicron-grade carbide, it delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for precise, repeatable groove profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool has a 3/16 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2 inches, making it compatible with standard boring setups on CNC lathes and machining centers. Machinists and tooling technicians use this tool when internal retaining ring grooves must be held to tight dimensional tolerances.
This grooving tool is suited for small-bore internal grooving applications where retaining ring grooves are required. It accommodates a minimum hole diameter of 0.187 inches and reaches a maximum hole depth of 0.25 inches (1/4 inch). The 0.05 inch projection and 0.0255 inch groove width make it appropriate for precision machined components in production or job-shop environments. It is a single-piece solid carbide tool, so no insert changes are required during its service life.

Verify bore diameter and depth clearances before engaging the tool to avoid tool breakage in undersized holes.
