The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL4902750 is a left-hand cut boring bar machined from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish coating. It is designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes, manual lathes, and boring mills. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.49 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 2.75 inches, making it well suited for moderate-depth finish and semi-finish boring work. The 1/2-inch shank diameter and 4-inch overall length fit standard toolholders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. Machinists and CNC operators install and qualify this tooling.
This boring bar is applied in ferrous and non-ferrous material machining where dimensional accuracy and surface finish consistency are required. Left-hand cut geometry suits specific spindle rotation setups and back-boring applications where a right-hand bar cannot engage the workpiece correctly. The submicron carbide substrate provides wear resistance suited to continuous cutting passes at tighter tolerances. This tooling is installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or adjusting boring bar toolholders. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth and confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Verify that left-hand cutting geometry matches the intended spindle rotation direction before initiating a bore pass.
