The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL3201000 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on metalworking lathes and machining centers. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish, it delivers tight dimensional control at small bore diameters. The minimum bore diameter is 0.32 inches, with a maximum bore depth of 1 inch. The 3/8-inch shank diameter keeps the bar rigid in the tool holder, and the 2.5-inch overall length suits compact tooling setups. Left-hand cutting geometry makes this bar suitable for back-boring operations or reverse-rotation machining strategies. Machinists and CNC operators working with small-bore, close-tolerance applications will find this bar appropriate for their work.
This boring bar is suited for small-diameter internal turning on CNC lathes, manual lathes, and horizontal machining centers. Left-hand cut orientation is used when the tool must traverse in the opposite direction from a standard right-hand bar, commonly encountered in back-boring or specific fixturing configurations. The 0.32-inch minimum bore capability makes it appropriate for tight-bore workpieces where standard indexable boring heads cannot reach. This bar fits tool holders accepting a 3/8-inch round shank.
Designed as a standard replacement or supplemental boring bar for tool holders accepting a 3/8-inch round shank; verify bore diameter range and cutting direction requirements before installation.
This boring bar is installed and serviced by machinists and CNC setup technicians. Power down or E-stop the machine and confirm the spindle is fully stopped before changing tooling. Secure the shank in the tool holder to the manufacturer-specified clamping torque for the holder being used - do not over-extend the bar beyond the supported overhang recommended for the holder. Confirm left-hand spindle rotation or back-bore cycle programming before engaging the cut to avoid tool crash or workpiece damage.
