The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL2901750 is a left-hand cutting boring bar manufactured from submicron solid carbide with a bright finish coating. It is designed for internal boring operations on CNC lathes, turning centers, and manual engine lathes where precise bore diameter control is required. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.29 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.75 inches, making it well suited for short to medium-depth finish and semi-finish boring passes. The 5/16-inch shank diameter and 3-inch overall length allow it to fit standard boring bar holders and quick-change toolpost systems commonly found in production and job shop environments. Machinists and toolroom operators are the primary end users.
This boring bar is applicable in metalworking operations requiring left-hand cutting geometry, such as back-boring, undercutting, or situations where spindle rotation and tool orientation demand a left-hand configuration. It is suited for residential machine shops, production facilities, and maintenance repair operations working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The submicron carbide grade supports demanding cuts where edge retention and surface finish consistency are critical. A single bar is included per package, and the minimum order quantity is one unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit boring bar for standard 5/16-inch boring bar holders used on CNC and manual turning equipment.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the boring bar from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully engaged in the holder and clamping screws are tightened evenly to prevent chatter or tool pull-out during the cut. Do not exceed the bar's maximum bore depth of 1.75 inches, as overhang beyond the supported length can cause deflection and surface finish degradation.
