The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL160500 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal turning operations on small-diameter bores. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, this tool delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The left-hand cutting direction makes it suited for specific spindle orientations and back-boring applications. It accepts a 3/16-inch shank and has an overall length of 2 inches, making it compact enough for close-clearance setups on CNC lathes and manual turning machines.
This boring bar is intended for machinists and toolmakers working with small bores in production or job-shop environments. It handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.16 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.5 inches, fitting applications where standard insert tooling cannot reach due to bore size constraints. Typical use cases include finishing small through-holes and blind bores in parts requiring close dimensional control.
Designed as a direct-fit solid carbide boring bar for CNC lathes and manual turning centers accepting a 3/16-inch shank toolholder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible boring bar holder before operation and confirm tool stick-out does not exceed recommended length-to-diameter ratios for the material being cut. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or adjusting tooling. Follow shop-specific feeds, speeds, and coolant procedures for the workpiece material.
