The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL140700 is a left-hand cut solid carbide boring bar designed for small-diameter internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for tight-tolerance bores. The bar handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.14 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.7 inches. With a 3/16-inch shank diameter and a 2-inch overall length, this compact tool fits small-bore applications where rigidity and accurate tool positioning are critical. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids in chip evacuation during the cut.
This boring bar is suited for precision machining environments including job shops, production turning cells, and toolroom operations. It is well matched for applications requiring left-hand cutting direction, such as back-boring or non-standard spindle-rotation setups. The submicron carbide grade supports use in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are priorities. Machinists and CNC operators working on small-bore components will find the 0.14-inch minimum diameter capability useful for fine internal features.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling addition compatible with boring bar holders and cartridges accepting a 3/16-inch round shank, on CNC lathes or manual turning centers requiring left-hand cut boring tools.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank firmly in the boring bar holder or turret tooling block before operation, and verify tool overhang does not exceed manufacturer recommendations for the holder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an appropriate safe state before tool changes. Follow shop safety procedures and applicable OSHA machining guidelines when handling carbide tooling.
