The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL120600 is a left-hand cut solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. Constructed from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for tight-tolerance bore work. The bar handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.12 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.60 inches. With a 3/16-inch shank diameter and a 2-inch overall length, it fits compact toolholders and turrets commonly used in Swiss-type and small-part turning applications. Machinists and tool and die professionals select this bar for finish boring and sizing passes where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This boring bar is suited for small-bore applications in production turning and precision machining environments, including job shops and manufacturing cells running small-diameter components. The left-hand cutting direction makes it appropriate for back-boring or specific spindle-orientation setups where a standard right-hand bar cannot be used. It performs on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent results across production runs.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or tooling addition for standard 3/16-inch shank boring bar holders used in CNC lathes, turret lathes, and machining centers requiring left-hand cut internal boring capability.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom procedures. The boring bar must be seated securely in a compatible toolholder and torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Confirm spindle direction and cutting orientation match the left-hand designation before engaging the workpiece. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing or adjusting tooling.
