The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL100200 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on small-diameter features. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish coating, it delivers consistent cutting performance in hardened and abrasive materials where high-speed steel tooling falls short. The left-hand cutting direction suits specific setup configurations where conventional right-hand bars are not applicable. With a 0.1-inch minimum bore diameter and a 1/8-inch shank, this bar fits compact toolholding systems used on CNC lathes, Swiss-type machines, and small manual lathes. It weighs approximately 0.0625 pounds.
This boring bar is suited for machining small internal diameters in production and job-shop environments. Typical applications include finish boring of tight-tolerance holes in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. The compact 1-1/2-inch overall length and 13/64-inch maximum bore depth make it appropriate for shallow blind-bore and through-bore operations on small turned components. Machinists working in precision aerospace, medical, and instrument-manufacturing environments will find this bar suited to their small-bore tooling requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling addition for 1/8-inch bore bar holders used on CNC lathes, Swiss-type screw machines, and similar small-part turning equipment.
Installation of this boring bar should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible 1/8-inch boring bar holder, minimizing overhang to reduce chatter. Verify cutting direction orientation against the machine's spindle rotation before engaging the workpiece.
