The ACCUPRO ACC-BBL080200 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on small-diameter features. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish coating, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for tight-tolerance work. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.08 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 0.2 inches (13/64 inches), making it well suited for shallow, small-bore applications. With a 1/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 1.5 inches, this compact tool is intended for use in CNC lathes, turning centers, and manual lathes equipped with appropriate toolholding. Left-hand cutting geometry is standard on this bar. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
This boring bar is used in production and job-shop environments where small internal diameters must be bored to precise dimensions. Its compact shank size targets micro-boring applications commonly found in medical, aerospace, and general precision machining contexts. The left-hand cut orientation suits specific spindle rotation and tooling setups where right-hand bars are not appropriate. The bright, uncoated carbide surface is compatible with a wide range of workpiece materials and cutting fluids.
Designed as an OEM-style boring bar for use in CNC lathes, turning centers, and manual lathes equipped with toolholding that accepts a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the appropriate clamping specification listed by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten set screws against the carbide shank. Confirm correct cutting direction matches spindle rotation before engaging the workpiece.
