The ACCUPRO ACC-BB4902600 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. Manufactured from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, it offers a minimum bore diameter of 0.49 inches and a maximum bore depth of 2.6 inches. The 0.5-inch shank diameter and 4-inch overall length make it a compact, rigid tool suited for tight-tolerance bores in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and toolroom technicians rely on this type of bar where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical to finished bore quality.
This boring bar is well suited to production turning and job-shop environments requiring right-hand cutting operations. It fits standard 0.5-inch bore tool holders common on small to mid-size CNC lathes and manual lathes. Typical applications include finishing and semi-finishing internal diameters in steel, aluminum, and cast materials where surface finish and roundness tolerances are tight. It is sold and installed individually as a single-unit tool.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation boring bar for tool holders accepting a 0.5-inch round shank in CNC turning and manual lathe setups.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the toolholder clamping screws fully released before inserting or removing the bar. Shank overhang should be minimized to the depth required by the application to maintain rigidity and reduce deflection. Follow the machine manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer specifications for set screw torque and insert orientation before taking any cuts.
