The ACCUPRO ACC-BB360600 is a solid carbide boring bar engineered for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning equipment. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for tight-tolerance bores. The bar features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.36 inches, and a maximum bore depth of 0.6 inches. With a 3/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.5 inches, it fits standard boring bar holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. Machinists and CNC operators install this bar when consistent, repeatable bore geometry is required.
This boring bar is suited for light to medium internal boring in ferrous and non-ferrous materials on CNC turning centers and manual lathes. It is appropriate for both production runs and prototype work where bore accuracy and surface finish are critical. The compact overall length and modest bore depth make it a practical choice for short, precision bores in workholding fixtures, bushings, and similar components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit boring bar for standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders used in CNC turning centers and manual lathes.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the boring bar holder to the holder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool overhang and cutting parameters.
