The ACCUPRO ACC-BB360500 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, it delivers consistent rigidity and edge retention in tight-tolerance bore work. The bar has a 0.36-inch minimum bore diameter and a maximum bore depth of 0.5 inches, making it well-suited for shallow, small-diameter bores where tool deflection control is critical. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length keep the setup compact. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this type of tooling in production and job-shop environments.
This boring bar is used in ferrous and non-ferrous turning applications where small-diameter internal features require precise diameter control and fine surface finish. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional lathe rotation. Typical install scenarios include finish boring of hydraulic valve bodies, pump housings, bearing bores, and similar precision components. The submicron carbide grade is particularly effective at higher cutting speeds and in harder workpiece materials where standard carbide grades show premature wear.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or removing the bar from the holder. Ensure the shank is clamped with full contact along the holder bore to minimize overhang deflection. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and shop safety guidelines when setting tool offsets and running test cuts.
