The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3602000G is a solid carbide boring bar engineered for precision internal turning and boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this bar delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for tight-tolerance bores in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The TiN finish coating reduces friction and extends tool life under continuous cutting conditions. With a 0.36 inch minimum bore diameter and 2 inch maximum bore depth, it handles a wide range of small-diameter boring tasks. The 3/8 inch shank diameter and 4 inch overall length make it compatible with standard boring bar holders and quick-change tooling systems. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and CNC operators in precision machining environments.
This boring bar is suited for production and job-shop machining applications where consistent bore geometry and surface finish are required. It is a right-hand cut tool, meaning it cuts when the workpiece rotates counterclockwise as viewed from the tailstock. Typical applications include bore sizing, finishing passes, and light stock removal in small-diameter through and blind holes. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds than standard carbide grades, making it appropriate for both high-production runs and short-run precision work on lathes and boring mills.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or tooling addition for standard 3/8 inch boring bar holders used on CNC lathes, manual lathes, and boring mills requiring right-hand cut solid carbide tooling.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in E-stop or locked out before mounting or adjusting the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the holder to the full recommended engagement depth to minimize overhang and reduce chatter. Verify tool centerline height before taking the first cut, as incorrect height will affect bore geometry and surface finish.
