The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3602000A is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC and manual lathes and machining centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers superior rigidity and wear resistance compared to HSS or brazed-tip alternatives. The bar features a TiAlN finish coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.36 inches and a maximum bore depth of 2 inches, this bar suits tight-bore applications where tool deflection must be minimized. A 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length keep the setup compact and stable. Machinists, CNC operators, and tool-and-die professionals will find it appropriate for both production runs and prototype work.
This boring bar is suited for use in machine shops, production facilities, and job shops handling small-bore internal turning and finishing operations. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard lathe spindle rotation in conventional setups. The micrograin carbide substrate performs well in cast iron, alloy steels, and stainless steels where consistent surface finish and tight dimensional tolerances are required. Its compact overall length makes it a practical choice when boring shallow features in workpieces with limited clearance.
Designed as an OEM-style boring bar for use in standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders on conventional and CNC lathes and machining centers requiring right-hand internal turning tooling.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before inserting or removing tooling. Seat the 3/8-inch shank fully in the toolholder bore and secure with the manufacturer-recommended clamping procedure before initiating any spindle rotation. Verify bore diameter clearance and tool stick-out before running a test pass to confirm fit and cutting geometry.
