The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3601500G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a TiN finish coating, this bar delivers consistent cutting performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.36 inches, and a maximum bore depth of 1.5 inches. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it a compact, rigid tool suited for tight-tolerance bore work. Machinists and toolroom technicians rely on micrograin carbide bars for their resistance to chipping and edge wear in high-speed finishing passes.
This boring bar is intended for use in production and job-shop turning applications where small-diameter internal bores require tight size control and good surface finish. Its compact overall length limits overhang and reduces vibration, which is critical when holding close tolerances in shallow bores. The right-hand cut orientation is standard for conventional lathe setups where the tool feeds toward the chuck. This bar suits applications in aerospace, automotive, and general precision machining where small-bore repeatability is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling addition for standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders used on CNC and manual turning centers requiring right-hand internal boring capability.
This boring bar is installed by a machinist or toolroom technician into a compatible 3/8-inch boring bar holder or quick-change tool post. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool post is locked before mounting or adjusting the bar. Set tool height to centerline and confirm shank clamping torque per the machine tool manufacturer specifications. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 1.5 inches, as excessive overhang beyond rated depth increases deflection and risk of tool breakage.
