The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3601000 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish, it delivers consistent cutting performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting geometry suits standard spindle rotation setups. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.36 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1 inch, this bar is well suited for small-diameter, shallow-bore applications where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical. Machinists and toolroom professionals reach for carbide boring bars when surface finish and repeatability matter most.
This boring bar is used in production and job-shop turning environments where tight-tolerance internal diameters are required. Its 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard boring bar holders and quick-change toolpost systems common on manual and CNC lathes. The 2.5-inch overall length keeps overhang minimal, which reduces chatter in small-bore work. Typical applications include finishing bores in hydraulic components, valve bodies, and precision mechanical assemblies. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working to print tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for boring bar holders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter on manual and CNC turning centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Secure the shank fully in the boring bar holder and torque the clamping screws per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the lathe is in a locked, de-energized state before tool changes. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 1 inch, as extended overhang beyond design parameters increases vibration and risk of tool breakage.
