The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3202500 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for tight-tolerance bore work. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 2.5 inches, making it suitable for moderate-depth through and blind bore applications. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 4-inch overall length fit standard toolholders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. Right-hand cutting direction is standard.
This boring bar is suited for production machining, tool and die work, and general-purpose turning operations where consistent bore geometry is required. Solid carbide construction makes it a strong choice for harder workpiece materials where high-speed steel tooling would deflect or wear prematurely. Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 3/8-inch shank boring bar toolholders used in CNC lathes, manual lathes, and machining centers requiring right-hand internal boring tooling.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before seating or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the torque specifications called out in the machine or toolholder manufacturer documentation. Verify bore depth clearance and tool overhang before running the first cut to avoid interference.
