The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3202000A is a micrograin solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal bore machining on lathes and turning centers. It features a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and a maximum bore depth of 2 inches, making it suited for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter bores. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 4-inch overall length provide rigid setup in standard boring bar holders. A TiAlN finish coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this type of tooling.
This boring bar is used in both job shop and production turning applications where precise bore sizing is required. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional lathe operation. Its micrograin carbide substrate supports interrupted cuts and tight finishing passes in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The compact shank and short-reach geometry make it practical for small-bore work on CNC lathes, manual engine lathes, and turret-style turning machines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit boring bar for standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders used in CNC and manual turning applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank firmly in the boring bar holder with appropriate clamping torque per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the cutting edge is set on centerline before engaging the workpiece. Inspect the tool edge for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fracture if run in an unsupported or improperly clamped condition.
