The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3201800 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish coating, this bar delivers consistent dimensional accuracy in tight-tolerance bores. It accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 1.8 inches. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 3-inch overall length make it a compact, rigid tool suited for small-bore finishing and semi-finishing passes where chatter control and surface finish quality are critical.
This boring bar is intended for right-hand cutting operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a solid carbide substrate outperforms high-speed steel in hardness, wear resistance, and cutting speed capability. Typical applications include small-diameter bore finishing on production runs, toolroom work, and prototype machining. It is sold individually and is appropriate for use in machine shops, production facilities, and maintenance environments where precision internal turning is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fitment boring bar for use in 3/8-inch boring bar holders on CNC lathes and manual turning centers configured for right-hand internal turning operations.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or adjusting the boring bar in its holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the specified holder torque per the machine tool builder guidelines before cutting. Avoid overhang beyond the rated maximum bore depth to prevent deflection and chatter.
