The ACCUPRO ACC-BB3201000G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers superior rigidity and edge retention compared to standard carbide grades, making it well suited for tight-tolerance bore work. It carries a TiN (titanium nitride) finish coating that reduces friction and extends tool life. The bar cuts in a right-hand direction, with a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1 inch. The shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter, and the overall length is 2.5 inches. This tool is installed and used by machinists and toolroom professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This boring bar is intended for small-diameter internal boring applications where a compact, rigid tool is required. The micrograin carbide construction makes it a strong choice for harder workpiece materials, including alloy steels, stainless steels, and hardened materials, where high-speed steel tooling would wear prematurely. It fits standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders and quick-change toolpost systems commonly found on small to mid-size lathes. The right-hand cut orientation suits conventional lathe setups where the spindle turns counterclockwise when viewed from the tailstock end.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch boring bar holders on CNC and manual lathes performing right-hand internal boring operations.
This boring bar is installed by machinists in a compatible boring bar holder or quick-change toolpost. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the lathe is powered down before changing tooling. Set tool centerline height accurately to the workpiece centerline to prevent chatter and maintain bore geometry. Follow shop safety practices and applicable OSHA machine guarding standards when operating turning equipment.
