The ACCUPRO ACC-BB160250 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on lathes and turning centers. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish coating, it delivers consistent cutting performance in tight-tolerance bore applications. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.16 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 0.25 inches. With a 3/16-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2 inches, it is sized for small-bore work where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical. Machinists and toolroom operators working on precision components will find this bar well-suited to production and repair applications.
This boring bar is used in small-bore internal turning applications on CNC lathes, manual lathes, and turning centers. Its right-hand cutting direction and compact geometry make it appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes in shallow bores on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is a single-piece solid carbide tool, meaning no insert changes are required, which suits high-volume operations where setup time and tool change frequency need to be minimized.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in the tool holder to the recommended grip length before beginning any cut. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before mounting or removing the boring bar. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 0.25 inches, as overextension can cause deflection and tool breakage.
