The ACCUPRO ACC-BB140700 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for internal bore machining in precision metalworking applications. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, it delivers consistent cutting performance in tight-tolerance bores. The bar features a minimum bore diameter of 0.14 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.7 inches, making it well suited for small-diameter work where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical. With a 3/16-inch shank diameter and a 2-inch overall length, it fits standard boring head setups on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Right-hand cut geometry is the standard orientation for most turning operations.
This boring bar is intended for production and job-shop machining environments where small-diameter internal turning is required. Typical applications include finishing bores in steel, aluminum, and similar materials where surface finish and bore roundness are primary concerns. Machinists working with CNC lathes, turret lathes, or manual boring setups will find this bar appropriate for short to medium bore-depth passes at the stated diameter range.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding guidelines. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the boring bar. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to the recommended clamping torque specified by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent chatter and bar pullout. Verify bore depth and diameter setup with a test pass before committing to final dimensions.
