The ACCUPRO ACC-BB140600 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for tight-tolerance bore work. The bar features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.14 inches, and a maximum bore depth of 0.6 inches. The 3/16-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length make it well suited for small-bore applications where access and dimensional accuracy are critical.
This boring bar is intended for machinists and toolroom professionals working on small-diameter internal features in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its compact geometry fits tight bore entries where larger tooling cannot reach. Typical applications include finish boring of precision holes in production machining, toolroom work, and job-shop environments running small-to-medium lot sizes on CNC or manual lathes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct toolroom addition compatible with toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch round shank boring bar.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine powered down before mounting or adjusting the boring bar in the toolholder. Ensure the shank is clamped securely with sufficient engagement length to prevent chatter and deflection during the cut. Verify bore depth and diameter against part print before initiating the first pass.
